Changing your Desktop Picture -Tip of the Week
Tuesday, February 8, 2005
Tired of looking at the same ole picture on your desktop? Here's how to change it:
Right click anywhere on the desktop, except where the icons are.
Left click on Properties in the menu that pops up.
Click on the Desktop tab at the top of the box that pops up.

In the box under "Background," click on the various choices to see what other desktop designs look like. A preview will show up in the picture of the monitor at the top. (My favorites happen to be Autumn, Azul, Bliss, Purple Flower, Red Moon Desert, Stonehenge, and Tulips.) But you can choose whichever one you like.
If, instead of a picture, you simply want a plain colored desktop, click on "None," the first choice in the box. Then click on the box under "Color," and pick a color.
After you've made your choice, click Apply, then OK. Your new desktop picture should appear
