Emptying the Recycle Bin - Maintenance Tip of the Week
Monday, April 4, 2005
Have you done spring cleaning on your computer yet? Gotten rid of all those documents you no longer need? Are you sure?? They may still be lingering in the Recycle Bin. Here's how to empty the Recycle Bin and get rid of those files for good!

Just to be safe, before we embarked on this irrevocable task, go to your desktop and Double Click on your Recycle Bin. Take a good long look at everything that's in there. Are you ready to part with everything? If you see something you might have deleted inadvertently, here's what you do:
Place your mouse arrow on top of the item and Right Click on your mouse. Then Left Click on Restore. The item you chose to keep will magically appear in exactly the same place you deleted it from. Don't believe me? Go check for yourself!
Now, given that, I'm assuming you want to delete everything that's currently in your Recycle Bin PERMANENTLY. OK, here goes:
Place your mouse arrow on top of the Recycle Bin (located on your Desktop). Right Click on your mouse and a little menu box should pop up. Next Left Click on Empty Recycle Bin. That's it. Your stuff's gone. Keput! (If you're lucky you might actually hear the Recycle Bin empty. It kind of sounds like rustling newspaper.)
