Bullets and Numbering
It's easy to make a bulleted or numbered list in the Microsoft Word® word processor program. To make bullets, click on the icon that has three little squares and three little lines on it. It's a bit to the right of the icons you click on to align text. Wah Lah! A round bullet appears on your screen. Go ahead and type your first bulleted item. Then hit the Enter key on your keyboard. Like magic, another bullet appears on the next line! Go ahead and type your bulleted list using the instructions just given. When you're done with your list, hit Enter one more time to get a bullet on the next line. Then click once more on the bullet icon at the top of your screen, and the bullet disappears. You can continue now to type in normal mode.
Numbering works similar to bulleting. To make a numbered list, first click on the number icon at the top of your screen. It's just to the left of the bullet icon, and has the tiny nimbers 1,2 and 3 on it, accompanied by some more little lines. The number "1." should appear on your screen. Go ahead and type the first item on your numbered list and hit your Enter key. Now the number "2." should appear. That's it. Just keep typing your list and hitting the Enter key until you're done. As with bulleting, when you're done hit the Enter key one more time, and click on the number icon at the time of the screen to get rid of the number and continue on in your normal typing mode.
